Everyone in the holding area, a number which is ever increasing, is vying for a plug so that they may charge their various electronic devices. It is cute watching people walk the circumference of the room, staring at the wall, hoping to jump in as soon as someone finishes and a plug becomes empty... Sort of like the mall parking lot before Christmas. One day, every chair will have its own plug and a special pull-out table with a cup holder on it. The purpose of the cup holder is to facilitate/enable my coffee drinking problem.
The men sitting next to me are talking about losing weight. They are grabbing their love handles and talking about how they need to lose 6 pounds. Little do they know that I am writing about them right now. I think that have been reading too much Cosmo. They are complaining, too, about how there aren't enough electric plugs.
I am in limbo. Somewhere between saying goodbye to everyone I love and meeting the great uncertainty and magic that is to come. For everyone I leave behind remember how fantastic you are. Over the past few weeks, I have been bombarded with love, support, and truly rich friendship. I am honored and so lucky to have a life so full of love. I make a solemn vow to keep in touch over the next 6 months. A lot of awesome things are happening back home and I can't wait to hear about it all.
I just finished a bag of animal crackers (thank you tissue)
Oops...delayed. Just announced. Plane 30 minutes late.
Off I go for now...
With undying love for my family, bill bateman's ranch dressing, toe shoes, luggage tags, water fountains, bcbg velour sweat suits, senior tour groups and old white ladies named renee...
I respectfully remain,
